Manchester's Troop

Troop 314 was formed over 60 years ago with the First United Methodist Church as our charter organization. During that time, our troop has been fortunate to watch numerous boys become great citizens and we have seen many Eagle Scouts come out of our ranks. Our troop is fortunate to call First United Methodist Church of Manchester our home. We are located in the Elk River District which is composed of Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Lincoln, and Moore counties. Out side of that, we are in the Middle Tennessee Council.

The youth in our troop have grown into amazing leaders and citizens of our community. Some have even had the opportunity to be a part of the Order of the Arrow. In the OA, some of our youth have even gone on to be Lodge Chiefs or Vice Chiefs, the top youth positions in the council. One scout from our troop, Josh Sain, even served as the National Vice Chief for the OA, before tragically dying in a car accident. Now, our OA Lodge has named an award after him, and Boxwell even has a "Gateway to High Adventure" in his honor.
